AT OUR CONGREGATION...

We call ourselves Christians. We are, after all, trying to follow the example of Christ and obey His teachings. We understand the Bible to be from God, written so that we might have a well lit path to Heaven (1 John 1:7; Psalm 119:105). We take a Bible description for our congregation, the church of Christ (Romans 16:16). This is not the name of our group, but a description of who we are. We are the assembly that Christ purchased with His blood (Acts 20:28); we are owned by Him.We understand that the reason for God instituting the church and having preachers preach and teachers teach is to save the lost and to keep the saved saved.

WEDNESDAY

Bible Study: 6 pm

With that in mind, we strive to preach sermons on peace, joy, grace, love… but also doctrinal sermons on the correct way to worship, how to be saved, the church and its Biblical description, etc. We strive to preach the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27). If you are visiting, we want you to take notes and follow along in your Bible. You may even ask for a audio CD of particular lesson or sermon!

We do not claim to be perfect, we have many shortcomings. But, we have joined hearts and hands in a mutual work of service to be pleasing to God. We are here to help each other make it to Heaven. Do you need help? Come join us at our weekly worship services and Bible studies. Here you will always hear scripture being preached. No opinions or creeds, just the Bible.

WORSHIP SERVICE

What should I expect when I visit

the church of Christ?

  • Expect to visit a friendly congregation.

  • Expect to hear a “Thus saith the Lord” for everything we do in worship and life.

  • Expect to see an active congregation, not only locally, but in other nations around the world as well.

  • Expect to feel welcome.

Expect Bible-based and Christ-centered sermons and lessons

When you visit, you will meet people striving to live daily for Christ. We emphasis that the Bible is the only map to Heaven. Because of this, the Bible will be the focal point of all Bible classes and sermons (2 Timothy 3:16-17). In fact, members and visitors are urged to bring their own Bibles and follow along – how else are we to sharpen our swords?

Expect a simple Bible-based worship service

  • We sing (Ephesians 5:19)

  • We study (Acts 2:42)

  • We give (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)

  • We remember (Acts 20:7)

  • We pray (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
